Open Government Partnership Adalah
The hard work of OGP initiators has led to encouraging results, as in just about 2 years, the OGP movement has been supported by 63 countries (as of January 2014), representing more than 3 billion of the world`s population, and will continue to grow. Countries working together in this COP work together across political borders and bring governments together to create a better country together by becoming more open. The country OGP aspires to is one that improves the quality of life of its people through open government, is willing to listen to people`s aspirations, is participatory, and has a spirit of constant improvement. OGI has www.opengovindonesia.org news sites and also a variety of social media such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. All this was created to promote the existence of OGI by expressing the spirit of openness through the role of the public to support OGI`s positive activities to achieve its main objectives. Every OGI activity is published through these media and social networks, so more and more people know, understand and want to play a role in the government`s open movement. Open Government Indonesia (OGI) is an initiative to encourage open and participatory government to realize innovative solutions for society. Open government efforts are implemented through a co-creation process that brings together governmental and non-state elements such as civil society organizations, academics and development partners. The seed of openness was born since the political reforms of 1998. All elements of society demand that the government be more transparent, participate in the planning process, and have the flexibility to participate in overseeing government work.
Since then, the opening snowball has been rolling steadily. The Indonesian government is increasingly convinced that openness is the foundation of modern governance and the key to unlocking the potential of the Indonesian state in the areas of economy, public services and innovation to become a progressive, equitable and prosperous country. Knowledge Forum is a forum for socialization and discussion aimed at improving understanding of OGI. The Knowledge Forum is held three times a year to convey the message that OGI initiatives are not only the responsibility of government, but also of the community. The importance of the participation of the younger generation in the IMO movement, because they are the successors of the nation, is due to the need for the participation of young people from an early age. In addition, young people`s spirit of openness can be better reflected in constructive advice and criticism of the government. Therefore, the OGI team must establish contacts both from OGI itself and at the invitation of the campus. Understanding openness as one of the most important values for achieving good governance by the country`s next generation of youth is crucial for the sustainable development of better governance. So far, OGI has been conducted with an emphasis on the fact that OGI is a movement, not just a government program. This approach has led to a paradigm shift. OGI, which was originally owned only by the government, has become a common good, the government`s attitude towards solving problems that were originally conservative has become more innovative, and people`s attitudes have shifted from skeptical to enthusiastic and participatory.
In addition, a number of international donor agencies, private companies and academia are working together to accelerate OGI implementation. In this report, there will also be various examples of OGI implementation, both government-led and community-led. Over time, OGI felt the need to add a core team to the CSO ranks. There were 3 CSOs who were then selected to join the CSO core team. These are: Activities in the regions mainly concern pilot areas. The first is the city of Ambon, according to the results of the first visit of the OGI team to Ambon on the 12th. In July 2012, three OGI solutions were implemented by the Ambon municipal government, namely: Indonesia`s accession to OGP is an attempt to achieve three pillars in the implementation of the democratic system of government, namely transparency, public participation, and accountability. Indonesia`s designation under OGP was established in Presidential Decree 13/2014, signed by President Yudhoyono on March 26, 2014. For Indonesia, openness is the basis for modern governance. This is the key to unlocking the full potential.
In addition, the unbridled use of mobile phones, the internet and social media has become a trigger for this engagement. People are demanding: the government of the future must be more transparent, accountable and inclusive. MOGP is a competition in the form of a conference that simulates an OGP meeting. The goal of this competition is to increase the participation of the younger generation in the open government movement in Indonesia and around the world. Through the MOGP, young people are invited to learn the principles of open government and participate in expressing young people`s aspirations to promote open government. All participants will attend the conference, as is customary at OGP high-level meetings composed of government representatives and civil society organizations. This means that conference participants are given the role of representatives of a state`s government or civil society organizations to discuss the problems of countries represented in the world order of thought, find solutions, and work together to promote open government. MOGP 2013 was the first in the world and Indonesia and its winner joined the Indonesian delegation attending the OGP 2013 Summit in London in October-November 2013. Previously, on 4-5 May 2014, CSO elements organized the “OGP Civil Society Day and Market”, an independent side event aimed at consolidating CSOs` views and perspectives on OGP issues. At the Ibis Nusa Dua Hotel, the OGI (Open Government Indonesia) Core Team CSO Day was held, attended by 170 participants, including representatives of NGOs, media and donors from home and abroad.
